The author analyses Alejandro Marmo’s art which is mainly characterised by sculptures made with objec trouvés. The figurative and abstract pictorial images are depicted through the dynamic perception of light and harmony of colours. They convey contemplative spiritual feature, tradition, faith and hope. The book The Strength of Heart  is a metaphor for goodness, brotherhood, salvation, solidarity, comfort, help and courage in the Third Millennium. It is a message of love and peace that starts from the heart and radiates into the world. The sculptures and paintings are essentially focused on the visible but theories and thoughts are inseparable from emotional involvement and creativity.

L’autrice

Maria Pia Cappello was born on 18 September 1958, at Santopadre in Frosinone Province. She got her Degree in Languages and Foreign Literatures at the “La Sapienza” University of Rome. She works as a teacher at the Superior Institute in Rome. In 2015 she presented her book on art Tratti Poetici at Giuseppe Ferrajoli Palace, in Rome. The book deals with critical essays on 18 Italian and international artists. In 2016 she presented her book on art La Poesia nell’Arte at the Complex of the Dioscuri at the Quirinale, in Rome. She held presentations of her books in London, Venice, Toronto, Washington. Maria Pia Cappello lives and works in Rome.
